10 minutes meditation is mandatory for students in schools and colleges: Minister BC Nagesh
Education Minister BC Nagesh has issued a circular that students should meditate for 10 minutes daily in all schools and colleges of the state.
The Education Department has called for meditation to improve concentration, improve health and relieve stress among school and college students. Henceforth, the education department has decided to allow students to meditate for 10 minutes in schools and colleges. In this regard, School Education Minister BC Nagesh has written to the Principal Secretary of the School Education Department and instructed them to issue an order regarding meditation. Students must meditate for 10 minutes daily in schools and colleges. He has instructed to fix a time for this.
Students in schools and post-graduation colleges are directed to take necessary steps to conduct a 10-minute meditation camp every day. Nagesh said in a tweet that it aims to increase students' concentration, improve health, create positive thinking, stress-free learning, personality development and thereby imbibe good qualities.
